Innovation Playground

Tasked with a campus innovation initiative, our team’s extensive community survey found that despite a wealth of resources, students often felt overwhelmed and out-of-place when entering campus maker spaces, rarely engaging with the spaces unless a class introduced or required it. In response, our team proposed and designed the Innovation Playground, a modular play space that empowers participants to creatively experiment in a low-risk environment. Our project culminated in an interactive playground exhibit at the 2019 Pioneer Valley Mini Maker Faire.
